Family Reunion Brings Out the Best in Keller Williams and Prospect Mortgage

(February 26, 2009) – Keller Williams Realty, Inc. has more than 70,000 real estate agents, and from February 21-25, it seemed they were all in Orlando, Fla., for the company’s annual family reunion. In their midst, of course, was Metrocities Mortgage – who has since taken the name of their parent company and is now known as Prospect Mortgage – one of Keller Williams’ preferred lenders, which again came as both a key sponsor and exhibitor.

“The KW Family Reunion has been an important event for us for the past several years,” said Lynette Hale-Lee, Prospect Executive Vice President. “It has always been a time to strengthen current relationships and to build new ones.”

Helping build these relationships were several of Prospect’s regional leaders, including Anna Ruotolo, Harry Tomlinson, Danna Burgess, Joe Suebert, Tom Sherman, Jose Hidalgo and National RORHS and HBM Sales Director Kent Sorgenfrey.

The majority of conversations centered on Prospect’s outstanding joint venture partnerships and marketing service agreements, along with its popular ROHRS and HBM programs.

“We were out to make an impact, and we did,” said Kent. “Our message came across true and clear that we have the kinds of programs right now that our Keller Williams partners can use to increase their business.”

As a result, the Prospect JV Team received more than 20 inquiries for new JVs that it has been following up on.

Keller Williams’ theme of staying positive in a sour economy resonated with convention-goers and especially our Prospect attendees.

“Wherever you went, you heard people saying, ‘Tell me something good,’” Lynette said. “There was a real sense at the convention that by working together, being positive, and looking for new opportunities and openings, you can succeed in any kind of market.

“What’s the point of holding a family reunion, if the family members aren’t there to support one another and build for the future?”

With that mind, Keller Williams delivered one of the largest and most energetic offerings of powerful and positive working sessions ever assembled for one convention. Topics, literally numbering in the hundreds, including such headliners as “The Power of Fierce Conversations,” “Get More Leads without Spending More Money,” “How I Went from 10 Deals a Year to 500,” and “The Mindset of an Opportunity Warrior.”

Next year’s Family Reunion shifts to New Orleans. Together, Keller Williams and Prospect are already feeling the family spirit!
